En route to .... a sustainable energy transition

Understand the impact of our business on society and find appropriate solutions.

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is defined by the European Union as: the voluntary integration by companies of social and environmental concerns into their commercial activities and their relations with stakeholders. Ultimately, CSR is all the actions and solutions taken by companies to help preserve the environment.

Did you know?

At Lyon City Tour and Oh My Gone we’ve been aware of the environmental impact of our activities for years. Our aim has always been to respond to visitors’ requests and offer them a complete and rich tour of the city of Lyon. However, environmental and climatic issues have also come to the fore.

In the transport sector, the issues of fuel and exhaust gases are central. Lyon City Tour has understood the key issues surrounding these questions, and has already begun a major adaptation process. Several solutions are currently being deployed to create the smallest possible carbon footprint. Here are just a few of the measures applied around our buses.

  • Lyon City Tour trains all its drivers in Eco-driving and responsible use of their vehicles.
  • Regular engine maintenance: oil changes, greasing, GO filter and air filter changes.
  • Use of Total diesel fuel for improved performance and reduced consumption.
  • Use of Adblue on buses to significantly reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and the pollution generated by diesel engines.

Lyon City Tour also participates in the Forestier investment with its partner ECOTREE. The company is helping to preserve the forest by purchasing 52 trees that will contribute to the creation of carbon sinks to protect its biodiversity.

Tomorrow’s new horizons

Of course, there’s still a long way to go and several solutions are being studied. Our aim is, and always will be, to help as many people as possible discover the city of Lyon and its riches. Nevertheless, it’s essential to keep questioning the company’s role and responsibilities in climate and ecological issues, which are crucial to our times.

We want to play a full part in change and offer better alternatives, while preserving our shared passion for Lyon.
